The 14th Passivhaus Convention: Innovation and Sustainability in Friuli Venezia Giulia
The 14th Passivhaus Convention, promoted by the IGP of Friuli Venezia Giulia, was held with great success on July 4, 2025, at the conference hall of the Fossa Mala Agriturismo in Fiume Veneto (PN). The event, also streamed live by EdicomEventi, brought together experts, professionals, and enthusiasts in the field of sustainable construction, with continuing education credits requested for architects, surveyors, engineers, and industrial experts.
The day began with participant registration at 9:00 AM, followed by a coffee break. At 9:30 AM, the introduction and greetings were delivered by Lara Bassi (EdicomEventi), Barbara Cassan (President IGP FVG), and Carmelo Sapienza (President FIPh).
The highlight was Barbara Cassan's example of a passive house in Pordenone, Federico Marchetti's (Rothoblaas) durability tests on building envelope waterproofing, and Paolo Buratti's (Finestra4 – Dinoxill) management of solar energy in window systems.
The convention, under the patronage of APE FVG and the Italian Passivhaus Federation, featured unconditional contributions from sponsors such as ETRG, Dinoxill, Rothoblaas, Siga, Onduline, and MEC Store. The final debate sparked lively idea exchange, underscoring Passivhaus's role in efficient, eco-friendly construction. An unmissable event that strengthened the local community toward a sustainable future.
